Well i though I would get involved with the jubilee and creative something festive for me and my daughter to wear, I found a great tutorial on you tube on how to make kanzashi flowers and took it from there here are my creations

My summer collection theme was fairy tales

I completed the start of my summer collection today I did a mixture of sinamay felt and silk head pieces. These are inspired by the 80s era and the spring summer trend forecast, I am now going to be doing a collection of pillbox hats using leather felt and tweeds maybe some feathers too it's is going to experiential to see how I can take a classic hat shape into something more modern and now , I will hopefully be wearing one to the wetherby races later this month.

I am currently doing my spring / summer collection. I have chose to use the current fairy tale trend that is going to be big this summer lots of lace, feathers, silk, leather and pale colours a very elegant classic look. For my mini collection i am doing my own take on fairy tales the good vs bad snow white and the wicked witch i am not quite sure where this design brief is going to take me just yet but i can see this being my best millinery project so far...........

Cheltenham Festival Hats

I have been looking at the hats from Cheltenham Festival  some amazing pieces, lots of pheasant feathers and pill boxes here are some of my favs 

I love this structured felt pill box great colour the curled pheasant feathers really give it a statement look

New to this

Hey, well i kept saying i was going to start a blog so here i go... I'm new to all this so have no idea what i'm doing really but going to give it a go.I am currently studying Millinery at Leeds College Of Art and Design which i love! i have always loved hats they have always been my favorite accessory i believe they are an extension of your creative personality 

Here i'm going to be talking mostly about Hats, new fashion trends and things that inspire me in my designs and current collections.........
